Years ago, a vivacious young man, Doug Brennan, joined our Sunday school class at church and shortly thereafter, we had the privilege of meeting his momma, Margaret. Ā They were so similar: Ā love of people, love of their families, their smiles and quick wit, creativity and work ethic. To know them meant you had a friend for life. Ā We saw Doug's love for Christ and his work at Water for Good and I soon had the privilege of calling Margaret my friend.Ā

Margaret has shared her love of her family with me many times. Ā Now our hearts break for her as she loses one of them. Ā We grieve with Leslie and her family as well. Ā You have been a gift to one another here on earth. Ā Your reunion in heaven is what you hold onto now. We love you and are praying for you. He is a God of comfort.

In memory of Doug and the light and inspiration that he brought to make the world a better place.
I wish there was something that I could say to give you comfort but words always fall short at this time. I’m so sorry that your son passed away but rejoicing that he knew our Savior. Ā Just imagine his homecoming . Praying for you and your Ā family.

My condolences to Doug's family. We worked together many years ago at Microsoft, and he was always a kind and caring colleague. I'm so sad to hear this news. All the best to those closest to Doug.
My condolence to Leslie and the family of Doug.
I didn't know Doug, but i have a story about him nonetheless. His mother Margaret was my neighbor for many years. I always loved seeing her and talking with her. One of our other neighbors came to me one day and asked if Margaret was dating someone...I said that she has never said anything about dating, but i would ask her. A couple days later i saw Margaret and during our conversation, I asked if she was dating someone because she had been seen walking down the street holding hands with a man. She turned to me with a huge smile on her face and said "that was my Dougie, he always holds my hand when we walk." In that moment i not only could see but could feel the love she has for her son.
My heart breaks for Margaret and her family. Rest in peace, Doug...
