Don will always be remembered for his humor and kindness.  Sincere sympathy

I never met Don, but I rented his beach condo for many years. I was  always impressed by how kind,  thoughtful and fair he was.  He was a true gentleman and had we known each other better, I think we might have been friends. My prayers go out to his family and friends. His death was a real loss!

I heard today was just a beautiful tribute of your beloved Don.  I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it, but watched the service and it was so touching.  Plus, we have the same taste in Catholic songs.  All the greatest ones that are so moving.  Sending you so much love and strength.  I'm so very sorry for your loss.  XOXO

What a beautiful and meaningful service. It meant a great deal to me to hear the priest say that this is the day Don is called home with all the saints and angels, as he was meant to be and was proclaimed on the day of his baptism. Although we feel this day was too soon for us, God has brought Don home to be where God is. That, to me, is a comfort. Praying for peace and comfort for Amelia, Clive, Charlie, Claire, and all of Don's family who will miss his earthly presence. Rest in peace, my little nephew!

This seems like a rather silly thing to post but my first meeting with Don was to compliment him on his dedication and mastery of Game Changer, most notably his detailed “scorer messages” during delays -  ie, I could tell it was not because a player was hurt. As a busy Grandmother with several grandchildren playing in different locations on any given day this type of attention to detail  and accuracy is important to me and to others listening or watching remotely. This keeps family ties strong as the children know we are “at their games” even when we can’t be there in person. My thoughts and prayers are with Amelia and Don’s family and all who grieve the loss of this wonderful man.

So-so-so sad.  Don was called home way too soon.  My thoughts are with his dear family.  From here on Fillmore Street, this neighbor sends a Gaelic goodbye.   Ar dheis laimh go raibh a anam uasal (May his noble soul be on the right hand of god).  Thank you for sharing so many memories of him through the photos.  Theresa Fitzpatrick
One of my favorite memories of Don was when he was hosting one of our family Christmas parties. Traditionally, we have a Yankee Swap each year. That year our cousin Mary had to leave the party before the Yankee Swap, so she asked me to get her gift for her. No problem, right? I had already had my gift when I went up to pick one for her. When I opened it I found a box of Preparation H! No one could believe it. Funny, but I'm thinking I can't give this to her. I'm gonna have to give her my gift. Once the game was over, Don admitted he did it. However, he took it back from me and replaced it with an overly generous gift card. Typical Don. Great sense of humor and the biggest heart. Really going to miss you cousin. 💔

Amelia I’m heartbroken for you.  I hope you and the kids find strength from all the wonderful memories you have with Don❤️
Game after game, Don was alwa…
2013
Game after game, Don was always the first one to arrive to make sure the field was raked, lined and perfect for the boys. He never asked for credit or thanks—just wanted to make everything a little nicer for Charlie’s team and the broader baseball community.

Such a beautiful soul. He fought for my family to get us an affordable housing. We are from Afghanistan we came to the US 3.5 years ago when the Taliban took control of the country. We were staying in a rental house. The lease was over if he did not help us get this house, we would be on the streets!

He made it possible despite all the odds of limited credit and credit history, low income for me and my wife, and above all, know relative in the US to help us with down payment or closing costs. I wish he was there to celebrate with us!

Rest in peace my brother!
