Whenever we celebrated an event in your home, Dave made us feel welcome and loved. We missed so many opportunities to spend time with you all. I feel fortunate to have attended a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Too too fun! Thank you for letting us be a part of the celebration of a truly remarkable man. 💔

RIP my friend, we went to high school together and met again during the time his mother was sick, she was a friend of mine. Met Karla and had lunch with Dave at the hospital, visiting with his mom. He gave me a washoe co. Pin. Meant a lot since my dad was a sparks cop. Always glad to see a friend in law enforcement get to enjoy some retirement because my dad didn’t get that chance. Prayers to your family Dave and all who loved you

Karla, you and Dave have always been family to me; there for the good times and not so good ones. I will miss Dave like a brother, which he was in so many ways. He was always smiling and too much fun! Whether we were snowmobiling, cutting a tree, boating on the lake, sharing beers and stories in a pub, eating ice cream at Lapperts, or he was jokingly pulling me over for a traffic stop, it was always fun. I’m glad to have you as my family, especially at this sad time, and hope we’ll have many more fun days to together.

Bill and I are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. I bet he and Dennis are busy comparing stories about their adventures through the law!! I be they are laughing loud enough for the World to hear!! May God keep you Brent & Bryce in his embrace. Rest well Dave!

We met Dave and Karla when my husband and I bought the house across the street. Dave welcomed us with open arms to the neighborhood. He had really great stories of his police work and after finding out I was into True Crime, he shared a book about a case he had that was written with him in it! He was a celebrity right here across the street! We had many talks about life. I liked him a lot. I'm very sorry he was sick for a time. I hoped he would get better.
Our condolences to Karla and their sons for the loss of Dave.
