Update from April 1, 2022

Tomorrow's event will be take place in the back yard of 150 Prickly Pear Dr. Verdi, NV, please come around to the back yard. Street parking is ok and if you are unable to find street parking, more parking is available at Crystal Peak Park.
There will be "DB" balloons to mark turns from Highway 40 to Hansen Dr. to Prickly Pear Dr.

Update from March 26, 2022

For those of you wishing to visit Dave, he is inurned at the Mountain View Cemetery at 435 Stoker Ave., Reno, Nevada. He is located with his father, Herman Butko, in the Garden of the Apostles. Inside the cemetery, take Spruce to Cedrus, go up the hill. Look right and see the Apostles statues. He is near the sidewalk leading to the Apostles.
While the official markers will not be in place by April 2nd, we will have temporary markers up at the plot from March 30th-April 6th.

Dave passed away on January 2nd after battling medical challenges for several months. Dave started his career with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office in 1978 and served 29 years, retiring in 2007. During Dave’s career he worked in Detention, Patrol, the Consolidated Narcotics Unit, the Detective Division, Internal Affairs, the Academy, as well as having the pleasure of leading the SWAT Team, Bomb Team, and K9 unit.
