Whenever we celebrated an event in your home, Dave made us feel welcome and loved. We missed so many opportunities to spend time with you all. I feel fortunate to have attended a St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Too too fun! Thank you for letting us be a part of the celebration of a truly remarkable man. 💔
So very sorry for your loss, we both were class mates of David's and thought highly of him. Prayers and love to you all 🙏💜 He will be missed.
RIP my friend, we went to high school together and met again during the time his mother was sick, she was a friend of mine. Met Karla and had lunch with Dave at the hospital, visiting with his mom. He gave me a washoe co. Pin. Meant a lot since my dad was a sparks cop. Always glad  to see  a friend in law enforcement get to enjoy some retirement because my dad didn’t get that chance. Prayers to your family Dave and all who loved you
My memories of high school Dave bring a smile to my heart and soul. May he be at peace. Much love to his family 🙏
Still can't believe such a vibrant person is gone. Think about him every day.

Karla, you and Dave have always been family to me; there for the good times and not so good ones. I will miss Dave like a brother, which he was in so many ways. He was always smiling and too much fun! Whether we were snowmobiling, cutting a tree, boating on the lake, sharing beers and stories in a pub, eating ice cream at Lapperts, or he was jokingly pulling me over for a traffic stop, it was always fun. I’m glad to have you as my family, especially at this sad time, and hope we’ll have many more fun days to together.

Bill and I are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing.  I bet he and Dennis are busy comparing stories about their adventures through the law!!  I be they are laughing loud enough for the World to hear!!  May God keep you Brent & Bryce in his embrace.  Rest well Dave!

We met Dave and Karla when my husband and I bought the house across the street.  Dave welcomed us with open arms to the neighborhood. He had really great stories of his police work and after finding out I was into True Crime, he shared a book about a case he had that was written with him in it! He was a celebrity right here across the street! We had many talks about life. I liked him a lot. I'm very sorry he was sick for a time. I hoped he would get better.

Our condolences to Karla and their sons for the loss of Dave.

We are sorry we will not be able to attend. We have enjoyed our times getting together in Dixie Valley. You all are in our prayers.

  1. My dearest Karla, both you and Dave, have been and will always be in my heart, my love is never ending for both of you.  Family is forever and I am so blessed to have you and to have had Dave in my life.  Dana

  • Karla Girl, our hearts are broken at the loss of Dave.  Dave and I texted back and forth periodically and I had a conversation or two.  Harvey and I are Christians and I had a great conversation with him about God not that long ago.  I wanted to know more about him going into the light that he experienced.  Dave told me you thought he was crazy, lol!  Karla he wasn’t  God wasn’t ready for him yet.  He was able to get a peek at heaven and what most of us only dream of.  Wow!
  • We love You and “Dave boy” and had some great times with you.  Our lives went in different directions, but you both were always in our hearts.  We love you Karla and pray for comfort for you and your family.  I can hear him laughing and see that shit eating grin. He will be forever missed but his memory will live on!
  • Sorry about the bullet points I couldn’t figure out how to get rid of them. ❤️
