Connie's obituary
Constance “Connie” Sampson Weaver passed away in the early morning of December 2nd, 2022. A loving mother and wife she is survived by her husband of 34 years Mark Weaver, daughters Katherine Weaver and Emma Weaver, mother Myra Sampson, and three sisters, Rebecca Sampson, Jenny Sampson and Christina Sampso; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.
Born in New Rochelle, New York on April 3rd, 1958, she moved to New Jersey at just 3 months old. In 1966 her family left New Jersey for Glen Ellyn, IL where Connie attended Glenbard West High School. Later she received a degree in Civil Engineering from Illinois State University and worked for Deep Tunnel and Harry Kuhn Engineering.
After Connie married Mark in 1988 she later shifted her career to join forces with his family in 1994 with the family restaurant and catering business, Inglenook Pantry. She worked together with her brother-in-law John Weaver and sister-in-law Becky Weaver. Connie was so deeply passionate about cooking and baking alongside her new family and involving herself with the local community. She helped run the restaurant and catering business as a co-owner for 28 years and brought a warm loving light to everyone she served.
Connie always felt deeply connected to the community in Geneva and involved herself even more by co-founding the Geneva Green Market. Even during the Covid pandemic she worked hard to bring affordable delicious home-cooked meals to locals. She always believed the way to someone's heart was through a good warm meal, and she touched many with her passion.
She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones, in addition to the large extended family she created within the community of Kane County that she loved so much.
