First time I met Tink in the …
2015, Dallas, TX, USA
First time I met Tink in the flesh. She and Gene drove out to Dallas to meet me “for a drink” which turned into zero sleep and one of the best nights ever. We had known each other for a while through the interwebs and she showed up like we had been friends forever. That was Tink. ❤️

One of many bike nights with Tink.
To Christin's children - I send big hugs from San Diego, California. My deepest condolences. Your mom was very special to so many people. I hope that you feel ALL the love and support from her on and offline communities. SHE built those communities by being a unique, loving, generous and caring person.
To all of Christin's family and friends, my heart goes out to you. May your broken hearts be shored up with all the love Christin leaves in her wake. She will always be a bright light, guiding you to be strong and loving with others. I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a tough one. 💔

2020, Facebook conversations
During our extremely contentious election season, and the months leading up to Election Day, i "ran into" Christin on several discussion threads regarding politics.
She and I didn't agree 100%, although we did find plenty of common ground.
What I noticed about her is that I was actually drawn to her opinions, questions, curiosities, as I shared some, and I was challenged (in my thinking) by others.
Tink made me think! 🤔
Her perspectives were uniquely her own, and this intrigued me, to the point where I looked forward to our back n forth through the months and weeks, recently.
While we both shared our love of community building, we also shared a concern for humanity and using our voices to help build something strong for our children.
While we never met in person, I really enjoyed the online connections we shared. I will miss her. Cheers 🍻 🧢

Pictures are always necessary she said! Who’s got the good camera! 😂 I love you sister!
This is just so awesome. We are still waiting for cause of this and no plans made yet but Gene is handling everything so diligently and graciously. This is Christin’s mom and my heart is warmed by all the love and stories shared. To know Christin was easy. She kept it real and loved her friends, work, dog and family like few I know. Thank you everyone for loving her.

All of my love goes out to Christin’s family.

I am so grateful to have known Chris. I was fortunate enough to be her fellow “FRO-mie”(her words 🙂) I looked up to her during my time in Okinawa. She kept everything straight and real, while teaching me to do the same. She brought humor to every situation, every meeting, every day. Whenever she was around, everyone gravitated towards her energy. I can’t believe we have lost that fire. She has no idea how much she impacted me during those three years. Thank you, Chris and rest easy.
I met Chris in Okinawa...first at a Naval Correspondence course. I was required to take the class but she was there on her own. I asked her why in the world? Because she wanted to be a FRO and any courses she could take to get her there, she was going to do it. She become a FRO, a super star FRO! She helped the other FROs look like super stars too. Whether it was helping us with an event or getting the motorcycle club to escort the Marines home after a long deployment...she made it happen but gave us the glory. Chris, words can't describe what the world lost when you got your wings. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers forever.

When I think of Tink, I think of how my husband and I met and fell in love. She was there for us through all of it. There to see us karaoke together for the first time. There to see us struggle while dating long-distance. There to see us get married. And of course, there to see us succeed. No matter what was happening in life or business, Christin was the captain of our cheerleading squad every. single. time. There truly isn't anyone like that woman. I hope she's having drinks with my little brother up there, reminiscing about how fun a Vegas wedding could be. To no longer have her here gives a significant advantage to the angels. She's just getting started with her best work. We love you Tink. And we're here to cheer on and support your family the way you did for us.

I will never forget the first time I saw my beautiful Chris. It was a party at my house and in walks this girl and immediately stole all my thunder in my own house! Well I was not putting up with that. As I got closer, she glanced back, without stopping her story, said hello with her eyes or something and continued her story. I forgot what I came over there for but before I knew it we had teamed up entertaining the masses at the party! It was a great time but we never said a word to each other not even to say goodbye (rude) lol. Well the next couple of days I could not get her off of my mind and then I started bumping into her all over base. Well the rest is history and top secret. 😉😎 I miss her badly. To many things unsaid and too many things not repaired. She has been in my dreams every night that I could actually sleep and I find myself constantly begging her out loud to come back to me without even realizing it. I do not wish this pain on anyone.....

I am shook at this news and my only regret is that I didn't stay in touch. Chris was a HUGE part of a crucial time in my life. She was an amazing and supportive friend and neighbor. No matter what time of day or night if I need anything, (and it was always a smoke, a drink and a friend to listen,) I would simply go next door and knock. Chris would always open her door! Thank you Chris for always being my friend and giving me the gift of all the memories. I love you girl.
