I first met Chris in Okinawa Japan when she was a Family readiness Officer.
She had such a happy and contagious spirit.
After leaving Japan-I kept up with her on Facebook. I actually just went on to her page as I missed her antics and rants. I thought to myself, I wonder what she’s up to.
I was shocked and very saddened to see the news.
My thoughts and prayers are with your children and family.
I hope they know just how charismatic, funny, charming and loved she was.
You will be missed my dear!
She was my sister in law, and though I didn't know her well, I do remember the first time I met her, I thought to myself yep my new BFF. I'm sorry I didn't get to know her better, but she is truly missed.

Christin and I first met as part of a historic Marine Corps movement and family of Family Readiness Officers ( FRO). Those who had the honor and priveledge of serving in this role were changed forever and I know Christin spoke of this experience as one of the personal and professional highlights of her history. One of the best kept secrets of this job was the impact on lives that one might never know. Christin was a historic FRO who touched and changed so many Marines and families. Years later I would meet people who connected what they knew about Marine Corps Family Readiness with the grit, warmth and dedication of the FRO who touched their lives and would speak her name as part of their their history.
While Christin and I had differing points of view about some things and engaged in meaningful discussion; she was ALWAYS the person who discussed ideals and our ability to be our most accepting selves. She was fiercely exhuberant and full of grace at the very same time. She loved as fiercely as anyone I know and did so with generous spirit. She taught me not to take ANYTHiNG too seriously except love for one another. Now, I take very seriously the words we shared and the opportunities I squandered to thank you Christin for your generosity. Please know that your lessons were never in vain as they still thriving as part of our shared history as friends, parents, women and FROMIES!! See you at the next Ball on the other side !!
My heart is broken. She had a contagious spirit. She accepted you for you. I loved all my conversations with her. A very genuine person!! My condolences to the family. Gone but not forgotten.
