Our family was blessed to live in Homestead where the Prendergasts also lived. 

Katie was always a joy to have around. She and Lauren enjoyed a great friendship spending time together. She was upbeat, happy and had a wonderful smile.

There were times, however, when she came over after school that she raided my refrigerator. After coming home from work and looking for some certain leftovers and couldn’t find them, I asked Lauren if Katie had been over. Of course she had. It honored me that she liked my cooking but could have throttled her at the time.  I love and miss you Katie!! 💕💕💕

Janie and Pat, I so wanted to express my sympathy to you in person but wasn’t in town on that day. My heart breaks for you and your children for your loss. Katie will always have a special place in my heart.
