I am so sorry to learn of Caroline's passing. We were classmates at Amherst and while we didn't run in the same circles - she was far too busy doing cool things like theater and outdoor stuff - seeing her each day was a joy. I will always think of her with a smile and remember the unique way she'd tilt her head back a little back when saying: HI CASSIE. It's an odd thing to remember, but so uniquely her. She was present when she talked to you, even when running out the door to the next rehearsal or class.  The world is dimmer without her.
Our thoughts and love are with you, Paige. Caroline was a loyal member of the Noonday Prayer group at All Saints, over the years sharing with us her faith, knowledge, humor, and intelligence. We continue to feel her presence with us.

Caroline was a patient and generous artist.  I worked with her on her plays Clear Cold Place (2013) and No Provenance (2014). Through discussions about the script development process, Caroline helped to shape me as a writer, as I know she did for so many others.

We both loved Caroline. We were planning to be at the service today but Eve just tested positive for Covid. Our thoughts and love are with you, Paige. Our hearts are broken in pieces. Annette and Eve

My deepest condolences to all who knew Caroline, especially her family, Paige, Russell, and her Mom Jane(always Mrs. Prugh to me). I knew Caroline in Kindergarten at Hollin Meadows Elementary School in Alexandria VA. I have a few strong memories from that time, and most involved her. We were “boyfriend/girlfriend” in Kindergarten and part of first grade, which just meant great friends and would play together a lot at school and at each other’s houses, birthday parties, sleep overs (I took so long to post this because I was searching everywhere for a really cute photo of us at a sleep over at my house in my parent’s king sized bed, me with Teddy Burton Bear, and her with her blankey). I remember playing at recess where she would gallop around as a Horse and I would run beside her as a Monkey, our favorite animals. 8) One time when everyone was playing with blocks in class (you remember those smooth wood rectangle blocks!) she and the girls needed one more block to finish their stable, so I obliged by taking one block from the boys car garage! Ostracizing myself for the day, but lady needed a block, lady got a block, worth it! We were friends throughout elementary school, and when I went to a different 6th grade we lost touch a bit, and reconnected as friends through High School, especially in band. Our families always remained close, our Moms especially.   Facebook helped us re-connect and though it had been decades, she never made it feel like more then a day.  I loved following all her amazing theater activity from afar, first Brazil and now Virginia, and always wished to see one of her plays in NY. We messaged about our wives, families, and kept in touch, but never enough.

Caroline’s a sweet, kind, endearing, forthright, uplifting, sweet, go getting, inspiring, loving, and so strong person, and I am so glad, and a better person, to know her.

I greatly enjoyed her presence in the St Luke’s Anti-Racism Discussion Group. She always had thoughtful and warm things to say and a radiant smile. Condolences to family and friends!

What a beautiful tribute. I knew Caroline as a young child, and followed her career through stories from her Mother. So sorry to hear of her passing.

What a gift she was to so many. Love and hugs to all her family as the curtain falls on a life well lived.

Caroline taught me that saying, “Indeed” to respond to questionable statements is a lovely, vague response.
My deepest condolences. I knew Caroline from our time at the La Mama program in New York and she was always good-natured, creative, impressive and a positive force for good. All my best wishes to the family.
