My heart hurts for all of you—Lyle, Kent, Mark, Laurie, Brad, Annie, Lyle, and all the family, friends, & co-workers who dearly loved Brian!
I knew Brain when he was younger. Our families met at church, and Lyle & Mary were like 2nd parents to us. They were always there for us! Laurie was the 'cool' babysitter, I graduated with Mark, & Brad wasn't around much!
Brian, Kent, my sister, Carol, myself, our Dad, Dale, and Lyle, all enjoyed skiing together (when you could get a season pass for 6 people for $300 at "Bachelor Butte"!!). Brian was always so nice and fun to be around. I agree with others~~he had a great smile! (He was my '7th grade crush'--though he was 2 years younger, and had no idea, I'm sure!).
We also enjoyed many hours around their big dining room table eating, then playing 'spoons'--a loud and fun card game with Brian and Kent (Mark was 'too cool' for that! ;) Then we would enjoy huckleberry picking (& eating more than we saved!), up near Mt. Hood with our families.
What great memories I have with Brian, Kent, and all the Jarvis'! They are the most loving & caring family I have ever known! Thank you all for being a part of our lives! I look forward to meeting Annie & Lyle. You both have the same great smile your Dad had! :) Be proud of that, and who your Dad was!
May God be with you all, and give you peace. We have that 'firm foundation' from going to church together, and can be assured that we will see Brian again in heaven (our faith and hope in God!). Hebrews 11:1
After my uncle died, I read this verse, and it gave me peace. “Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you.” John 16:22 I pray for that peace for all of you!
"I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength." Phil. 4:13
BIG hugs (like Lyle always gives!), to all the family!! Our family will be there to support you at the service, and anytime you need to talk! LOVE YOU ALL!!
