I am not even sure where to start. As most people can agree, Bev is one of a kind! A true and kind soul. An amazing human. A loyal and awesome friend. But, most of all, a WONDERFUL and LOVING mother to her two greatest gifts, Dae and Ty. Bev is the true meaning of living life by example and to the fullest. With love in her heart and strength within her whole being, Bev always put others before herself. Her family and friends meant the world to her and there will forever be a huge hole here on this earth without her in it. She was so many kids first coach, mentor, and another mommy to look up to. She cared for all of our kids like her own. She put her heart into all that she did. And it showed. My heart goes out to all of her family, friends, softball/sports families, and most of all- Dae, Ty, Marlon, and Sunny. I will miss so many things (jokes, laughs, stealing your pop), but I know you will be watching over all of us, Bev. Guiding your kids and all the kids you have helped along the way. They will feel your presence, love and support. Until we all see you again, my friend.  I love you and will always remember all the love and support you gave to me over the years. We love you, Dae, Marlon, Ty, Sunny and family and will always be here for anything you may need at anytime ❤️
Heartbroken 💔 Bev certainly was one of a kind! She loved hard! She taught us that “you ain’t gotta be blood to be family” and that is how she made us feel from day 1! Open arms and a heart of gold! You will be forever missed dear friend!

I have so many memories of Bev I am not sure where to begin. So many Holidays, vacations, birthdays, etc, together and just conversations and special times between us. She was family and another sister of mine & I will be forever grateful for every single moment & memory.  Sending Love, thoughts, & prayers to Ty, Dae, Marlon, Sunny, Danny, Jimmy- and also to Katrina and Sara, and all those knew & loved her. Gone too soon but she will never be forgotten.
Shared a heart Red heart

Although I moved from Youngstown & Chaney High School there are still people I always stay in contact with, whether it's a call, text or social media. Bev Ullman Kester & Marlon McGaughy are 2 of those people. I always followed my beautiful niece Dae on her journeys across the states to play softball & watching her pitch & making Marlon fall off buckets or whatever and Ty & his golf career. Bev always kept those close to her update on everything & it really crushed me to get the call I got yesterday & the message I recieve at sunrise this morning. Bev will always be remembered as a WARRIOR, her fight with breast cancer was hard as hell but she fought thru it daily. I'm thankful I did get to talk to her earlier this week & like always we ended our convo with I love you. Although her fight is over & her spirit & strength will live on in her family. It's hard & just asking everyone to keep the family lifted as things will be forever different. Love Yall

Bev was truly a sweet person filled with love, compassion and kindness. Whenever I was covering Coach Marlon’s teams she welcomed me with open arms along with the other parents. May her soul rest in peace and may God continue to be with Marlon and the rest of the family 🙏🏾
They say the world is small, but the softball world is smaller. Bev and I met through our love of softball and our talented daughters. My first connection with Bev and Dae was the number they both wore #35. Bev messaged me a few years ago to let me know that they were moving into our community. Our families have developed a friendship ever since. From weekly workouts, to sharing rides, to cheering for each other at the field, our daughters have become good friends. Bev loved every kid like her own, and she had a way of making everyone feel special. She showed everyone what it was to be truly selfless. Throughout all of her struggles, she always took the time to show grace to others. My daughter has several things that Bev gave to her over the years that are special to her. Dae Sun without a doubt has Bev’s same huge heart. I’ve had the privilege to work with her on the softball field many times, and she is so extremely talented. I know that she will continue to make her mom proud both on and off the field. The softball community is like a family, and Bev can rest easy knowing that all of us will be the village it will take for Dae Sun to continue her journey and live out her dreams. May God continue to shine Bev’s light through the ones that loved her most. She certainly left her mark in this world and she will be dearly missed.
