Betty showcasing her Stockton, CA backyard on the San Joaquin Master Gardeners garden tour. Betty volunteered with Master Gardeners since their first San Joaquin graduating class in 2007, serving on the Advisory Committee, writing articles for the newsletter and earning Emeritus status following her active participation. It was through the garden tour that Betty met her then life-long friend Linda Driver.
