In Memory:
A celebration of life in honor of Barbara Pica, wife of longtime horse owner Bernie Pica, will be held on Saturday, January 4 at Tustin Ranch Golf Course from noon to 3 p.m. Barbara was an ever-present figure in the Vessels Club at Los Alamitos and rarely missed a night of racing. Bernie and Barbara Pica enjoyed a great win in 1998 when their Quarter Horse Two Steppin Alibi won the Grade 1 Marathon Handicap at 870 yards over an outstanding field of distance horses that included 1994 All American Futurity winner Noblesse Six, plus Comus, Timothy Pilot, Prevailing Winds, Daggers And Darkness, Jake Blues, and No Pet Peeves – all stakes winners at 870 yards. Barbara passed away on December 23.

“She lived a fulfilled and happy life with her loved ones,” Bernie Pica wrote.
