I was so so very sorry to hear of Rose’s passing and my sincere condolences go out to all of her family  and friends. Rose  and I spoke a  little more than a month ago for about an hour catching up on each other’s lives and just talking about any and everything. What a great conversation we had in spite of the fact that it was over the phone. I have known Rose for over 30 years and today I am remembering something she said to me 25 years ago on the death of my husband. Her words were “Loretta I’m going to teach you how to be a widow.”  I believe that at the time she and I were the only ones, among our group of friends, who’d lost their husbands and she set about doing just that. Trips to the fields to pick fresh flowers, an occasional trip to Philadelphia, volunteering for events hosted by the Congressional Black Caucus , at their Annual Event, in Washington DC , a night out to listen to some live entertainment. These are some of the things I so vividly remember about Rose as she was       “teaching me to be a widow.” These and her fun loving spirit will always be memories that I can look back on with a smile! Rest well Rose!

Sweet Rose 🌹 ever thoughtful.  The light will surely follow the darkness, rest with your new family of angles.

Love, Muriel

Rose and I had a wonderful time on the Dive Bat patio❣️. We ate, laughed, caught up on life events and made plans for me to visit her in the ATL. I’m already missing her morning "hallelujah" greeting. REST EASY MY DEAR 🙏🏽sister Rose as I called her

Thanks for sharing a Rose 🌹 .

Ms. Rose, Ms. Rose, where do I begin, I am so shocked by your passing. You was always so full of life, smiling, singing. laughing and dancing. I never would have thought when I seen you last that, that would be the last. … My fondest memory was of you singing and dancing with your shoes off.

 Farewell ❤️🙏🏾👸🏽😍🥰

This great woman of God will truly be missed. I will always remember the women's game night, casual cookouts, and our chats at your daughter's Cancdance's house. You're with our Father in heaven now and your work here has been completed. Love and condolences to the family, know that we love you all very much.

2022, The Glory Call Family Reunion - Detroit, Michigan
Barbara was such a beautiful soul.  I remember the joy that she exuded at the Glory Call family reunion in 2022 in Detroit, Michigan.  She was happy to be with the sisterhood.  Since then, she sent text messages to me, always praising God with one word----"Hallelujah"!  I will miss those text messages but I know she is in heaven shouting hallelujah to the Father.  What an eternal privilege.  Praise on Barbara!
My 'Hallelujah' Georgia/Columbia sister will be greatly missed. What a wonderful bright spirit on The Glory Call every morning. We still have our Glory Call twins (Ethan & Eden). I will miss spending my mornings with Barbara. Much love to Candy, Whitney & Jordan.

Aunt Rose was an amazing person. She had a big heart and always, always cared. She gave me the nickname “Pokémon Ron” alongside her Sister, Lavonne. I’ll never forget her. I am truly blessed to have crossed their path. My condolences to her family. May God be with you now and always.

Blessings,

 Ron Hinton
