I am so deeply saddened by Tony's passing. I hired Tony in 2004, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. His career and contributions at Optum added so much to the quality and effectiveness of so many behavioral health and other programs. Later in my career Tony and I both ended up in Optum's Lisle offices and were able to enjoy periodic lunches together. What a wonderful colleague and friend.

Tony always welcomed me into his home as if I were a member of the family. I'll never forget his kindness and understanding. It is plain to see that his and Nancy's best qualities live on through their children.

To grieve deeply is to have loved fully.
