Tony's obituary
Anthony 'Tony' Wayne Heath passed away on November 28th in Lisle, IL from a fall in his home.
He appreciated beauty where he saw it. He took pleasure in the world around him. He never went to a movie he didn’t like.
"I always wanted to be a race car driver", was something he said regularly.
In is teens and twenties he road motorcycles and dirt bikes with his Brother and Father.
Pets loved him. We called him the Cat Whisperer, and he had a special bond with every pet he had. Those in the know, know in our hearts, it was not just because of the table scraps. We know because everyone loved him. He was the kindest person.
He read the latest business books, and he would share with enthusiasm what he’s been learning. He read fiction and non to his boys.
He ate and drank with passion.
Steak and Shake for breakfast, McDonald’s ice cream cones. Table nachos. Papa burgers.
Whiskey, beer, Mountain Dew.
He loved his boys and was genuinely interested in what interested them.
He had a heck of a fashion sense.
Awe cool!
Yippie!
Oh boy!
The man couldn’t be stopped. Nearly 70, his top recreational activities included running, lifting, volunteering, chopping wood, and a new side gig using a chainsaw professionally.
Retired for too short a time, he worked diligently for his employers.
But this isn’t half the story of this man. He was my father. He sat and patiently listened to problems. He knew how to supported you. He spent very little time judging people.
Years ago he was walking daily to and from work. He told us that he could usually find a littered plastic bag and fill it with liter. Think about that. For a minute. With his back aching. Wrappers, cans, detritus.
