This beautiful person left us too early. He was a bright light for anyone who met him; and in particular for anyone who got to know him. He changed my life for the better, in many ways, and I think of him often. His wonderful soul, brilliant yet humble mind, and warm heart will be missed.
Andy convinced me to go hiking with friends on a Sunday afternoon when I was supposed to be writing a paper for one of our Italian ckasses

Andy was a really cool person… I was heart broken when I saw the post on Facebook from one of his friends… thank you Andy for being a nice person to me when we’re classmates at Wyoming schools… may you rest in peace..
I was lucky to know Andy since childhood. Growing up in Wyoming means you know everyone fairly well. We were sometimes lab partners in Anatomy, and both attended the University of Virginia. I moved to the Ann Arbor area with my family just as Andy was leaving the area with his family. We briefly considered buying his Ann Arbor house. Although we didn't keep in touch much I called him years later for advice about a family member's difficult medical issue and we talked as if no time had passed. He always had a smile on his face and a mastery of everything he touched. He will be missed.
