I'm so sorry for your loss, and vacuum this dear brother in Christ leaves in your hearts. Andy was such wonderful guy to be around, and served so faithfully. We'll be praying for you as He walks you through the days ahead. Grace, mercy, and peace from God our Father.

Andy will be so missed. In my years with Keynote, eventually morphing to Cru Music, Andy was a steady and kind presence, always will to answer a question (and I had many) and so quick to help with whatever operations crisis was brewing. He was patient, and I never heard him complain or saw him reply with anything but thoughtfulness. Prayers for you all as you grieve his loss.

We are so very sorry for your loss, Maria. Andy was the kindest, genuine, most loving man we have ever known. You and your family continue to be in our prayers. Cecil and Paula Williams.

We all first met at Mariners Church at the weeknight AWANA youth program. All our children, week after week, such a wonderful program and time together. Andy and Maria, rock solid role models; and Andy, if you could hear me, your ability to run those kids' dodge balls games with all the running around was inspirational, hah! Very much missing you. - Bill & Snowy

I’m so sorry to hear the sad news. Andy and I had just connected. We are distant relatives on his mother side. My mom and his mom were cousins in Evanston. My heart felt condolences.

For 10 years Andy and I played next to each other in the big band and we also played together in a number of other musical groups. He was such a phenomenal musician and was always an inspiration and encourager to me both as a musician and as a follower of Christ. He was steadfast, reliable, and trustworthy and he was kind to everyone he met. His absence leaves a huge hole in our band and in our hearts. I will forever be grateful to have had him as a friend and musical comrade. May God bless you Maria and family. We love you.

Oh Maria, my heart is broken for you and your family. Andy was the kindest and best of men and such a beautiful witness for Christ. Both of your lives shine for Him. I cannot imaging your pain and shock. Please know that you and your family are in my heart and in my prayers. With much love, Lori Salomo.

I only was able to make music with and a in the last couple years. I always found him so kind and considerate. A brother and Christ. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to his wife and children grandchildren.

I really enjoyed working with Andy during the first half of the 90’s in Mission Viejo. He trained me in the Convertible’s bus to get my CDL, which I still use. His wonderful sense of humor still makes me smile, and his calm demeanor brought welcomed relief to problem-solving situations. He has always been a great listener and faithful friend. We reconnected in 2013 at Cru’s staff conference and it was such a joy to spend the evening with Andy and Maria, who graciously gave their time to spend with our family. Since then we exchanged music clips over the years and enjoyed seeing his exceptional saxophone playing. I’ll never forget playing drums with him on April 7, 1991, Resurrection Sunday, in the Kremlin when God gave us the opportunity to proclaim the most beautiful Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ (link below). I thank God for the privilege of knowing and working with this dear friend.

Andy and I served on the worship team, he on his saxophone and me on my flute. We also sang together. I couldn't help but wonder why he seemed so familiar to me. We finally figured out he was part of The Convertibles that came and played at my high school (Poway in San Diego) and I remembered his flat top hair cut! 😆 We had a good laugh about that and he found some old posters and CD of their band to give me. God definitely had us meet again and encourage my heart for music and serving God. Till we meet in heaven, keep the band going, Andy! 🎶🎷🎶
