The first time I met Alice, nearly twenty years ago, I was helping Linda move her into a new apartment. Sometime later I helped Linda move Alice into Linda's house. Moving has been Linda's favorite sport over the years, and, as a ready pal (who owns a hand truck), moving Linda, Alice, and Rachel kind of became a favorite sport of mine, too!

You can learn a lot about a person by helping them move. Its a really stressful time, full of confusion, disorganization, and decisions, so people aren't typically on their guard or at their best. But that's how I learned that at her core, Alice was a truly gentle soul, even as she tried to portray herself as a tough old biddy sometimes.

I've had a number of occasions to be around Alice in the years since then, and to see her in a variety of situations. I've never had reason to change my assessment of her as a truly gentle soul at her core.

Rest in peace, Alice.

Oh Aunt Alice....always laughing with, sometimes at...lol. If y’all were at Teri’s brewfest one year, you’d know LoL!!!! As a Drymon, I personally found the women to be so strong, loving and Ed. I was so unbelievably blessed s to get some great one on one conversation with her at moms family reunion, she told me about her son and so much I never really knew. We are all so blessed to have had such strong women, women that kept this Drymon family United. Love you all ❤️courageous, Aunt Alice was one of the strongest!! But she never showed it she just loved and smil
