To Dr. Alexander Sherzer's family and friends. I just found out today 1/5/ 23 about his passing and I was so shocked and saddened. I only saw him the day I stopped by his office to make an appointment with him and then the actual appointment, this past June and I have to say I never had such a good time at the Doctors. All I did was laugh the entire time I was there. I am so very sorry for your great loss and I will pray for him and that God will ease your sorrow very soon. May he be resting in Peace. Alex Sherzer was among the most intelligent people I have known. He also had a fine sense of humor and a dedication to his profession. The world is smaller without him. My intention was to send Christmas greeting. I am deeply saddened by his death.

Alex treated my brother-in-law Wayne with kindness and patience, even though Wayne was beset by schizophrenia and alcoholism. Perhaps because Alex was so brilliant, he recognized that quality in Wayne. At one point, he called me aside and commented on Wayne: "He's obviously very intelligent," which Wayne, despite a learning disability, clearly was. Alex never gave up on Wayne and before he left New Jersey, he persuaded Wayne to have a hip replacement, which helped Wayne a great deal.

So smart, so kind, with such a fine sense of humor. How sad Alex is gone.
