With great sadness we mournfully announce the passing of Dr. Alexander Ian Sherzer, of Bonita Springs, Florida.  Alex unexpectedly passed in peace and departed this life on Sunday December 4, 2022 at the age of 51. 

Alex will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving brother, distinguished Medical Doctor, Chess Grandmaster, humorist and a champion of social consciousness.  Alex had a heart of gold and his loss is devastating to all of us that loved him. 

While Alex never married, he lived a full, very meaningful and vibrant life. He made such a positive impact on society and our community. He was very close with his sisters Lorraine and Michelle and his brothers David and Larry and saw Lorraine and David often. He was loved by so many people in our community! 

 Alex is preceded in death by his father Laurence Sherzer, mother Claire Sherzer and brother Gregory “Lawrence” Sherzer.  Alex is survived by six siblings (Lorraine, Larry, David, Michelle, Elizabeth and Christopher)

We miss him dearly! Rest in peace dear Alex
