Planning a funeral in Seattle, WA

Planning a funeral in Seattle, Washington both has unique advantages, as well as unique challenges. On the plus side, there are many beautiful outdoor locations that can be a perfect spot for a memorial service, celebration of life, or scattering of ashes. If your loved one was someone who loved to be outdoors, you certainly shouldn’t feel like you need to limit yourself to a traditional funeral setting, such as a church or funeral home. (You can still have a Seattle funeral home help with arrangements.)

Because of the high cremation rate in Seattle, there are also a good number of low-cost cremation options. If you’re interested in something eco-friendly, but don’t love the idea of cremation, the greater Seattle area also has a number of options for green funeral homes and green cemeteries.

The downside to planning a funeral in Seattle is the weather. Due to the frequent rainy weather in the fall, winter and spring, it can be difficult to plan a graveside or other outdoor service during many months. That being said, a large tent may be all you need.
