I was so sorry to hear about Yunfei’s passing - your loss is deeply felt. He was such a joyful presence in my memory, always attentive to detail, and he will be greatly missed.

May the peace of Christ surround Yunfei’s family, friends, and colleagues. We give thanks for his life and the goodness God shared through him. With deepest sympathy.

I still remember my very first day at work—Yunfei gave me tremendous help. I was tasked with verifying 1,000 enterprise websites, but the usual methods didn’t work because of the login step. A colleague suggested I ask Yunfei, since he was a CS PhD. Sure enough, Yunfei quickly came up with a solution and took the time to explain it to me thoroughly. Thanks to his help, I was able to solve the problem and clear a big hurdle. From that moment, I felt a strong sense of security knowing that such an expert was in our team.

Although we didn’t work on the same projects later on and didn’t interact frequently, every conversation with Yunfei was meaningful and thought-provoking. I studied mathematics, and he was also very passionate about it, so our chats often resonated deeply. I still remember discussing different approaches when he was researching user localization with Wi-Fi signals. Once, over lunch, we talked about number theory and real analysis. He once brought up a problem on the Chinese Remainder Theorem, which inspired me to pick up my pen again and work through the solution.

Yunfei was always full of passion for research and had a way of inspiring those around him. It’s still hard to believe that he is gone. I will always cherish the memories of Yunfei, and I hope his light continues to shine on the other side.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Yunfei, whose intelligence, energy, and easygoing nature touched everyone around him. He was not only exceptionally smart and driven, but also brought a vibrant curiosity and a wide range of interests to our team.

Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his family during this difficult time, especially as they prepare to welcome their new baby. We hope his child grows up knowing how much he was loved and respected by all who knew him.

Yunfei had a quiet strength, a gentle presence that never demanded attention yet left a lasting mark. He did not speak much, but his kindness was always clear in the warmth of his smile, in his willingness to help, and in the calmness he carried with him.

There’s a saying: ‘The song is ended, but the melody lingers on.’  Yunfei’s melody is one of humility, kindness, and quiet grace, and it will remain with all of us who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though words feel small in the face of such a loss, his memory will continue to guide us reminding us of the beauty in gentleness and the strength in a kind heart. Yunfei will be missed deeply, but remembered always.My heartfelt condolences go out to Yunfei’s family and loved ones. May you find comfort in knowing how deeply he was respected, admired, and cherished. His memory will forever be a blessing.

Yunfei was an exceptional colleague, mentor, and an accomplished individual. What I will always remember most about him is the gratitude he showed and the warm smile that lit up his face, whether he was discussing his work or helping others. His kindness and positivity touched everyone around him.

As Linkin Park beautifully said in their song One More Light:

                                              "Who cares if one more light goes out? Well, I do."

Yunfei’s light will forever shine in the memories of those who knew and loved him. This loss is heartbreaking, and my heart goes out to his family during this difficult time. May he rest in peace.
