Bill will never be forgotten.

Bill, Fred and I always celebrated each others' birthday at Merlot restaurant where we would meet for lunch and whoever was not their BD picked up the tab. Invariably we would drink too much wine!

Every Friday when Fred and I meet for coffee we talk about him fondly often.

In fact I met Rev Hugh for coffee a couple of weeks ago and when I asked Hugh if he wanted a treat we both said in unison lemon cake in memory of Bill. It was his favorite.

Posting on behalf of Alastair Currie:

For a number of years after his retirement Bill, Fred and I met for coffee at a local coffee shop.

We tried to solve a lot of the world’s problems without much success I might add.

He would then have to leave to play squash with men a lot younger than himself.

Right up to the end we still met at Bill’s house because of covid and it was a bit more comfortable for Bill.

On Friday August 19th Fred and I met for the first time at Café Rouge in Etobicoke without our dear friend Bill.

We were very sad and shed a few tears.

We miss our good friend Bill dearly.

Posting on behalf of Chuck:

"It is difficult to describe in only a few words the joy of knowing Bill throughout our lives since we first met at U of T at 18 and the emptiness and sadness I feel at losing him. He was the friend I had known longest , he was my fraternity Brother where he, John Hamilton and I ran the frat not only as the coolest guys but also because as the financial officers Bill and I controlled the petty cash. Bill has been inspirational, an overused word but not in his case. These past 6 years he maintained his sense of humor and his stubborn determination while enduring some really difficult times. The 3 of us could laugh like schoolboys, even near the end. What strength. I am very honored, proud and grateful for our lifelong friendship. My deepest deepest condolences go out to Mary Lynne, Shannon and Julie and the extended family.

May God give you strength.

Chuck and Shackera"

Mary-Lynne, I want to share with you and your family my heart-felt sympathy.  I know these past few years have been difficult ones for you but the extraordinary care you have given will nurture you through your grief.  I wanted you to know that though you are gone from the lake, you are not forgotten.

Mary Lynne, Shannon and Julie, I am so very sorry for your loss. I remember Bill as a caring and gentle father and he was always so proud of his daughters. He always had a twinkle in his eye when we reminisced about those ducklings!  My prayers are with you all. Janna Adair

On behalf of the The Dixie Squash Club. We extend our condolences and prayers to  the family of a great past club president, and trusted opponent on the court. He cared for those around him and was pretty handy with the racket. He spoke lovingly of his family during his fight and was especially proud to see his grandchildren.
