Bill and mom were quite close. That of course is me on the end. We were going to try to have him come to mom's hundredth birthday party next month. I'm so glad they got to talk on the phone a few weeks ago.

Blake Baumann's lovely wedding in Texas. That is my cousin Julie between mom and I. You can see Bill with the mustache standing up. Bill made it a point to go to every family event he could.

I had the good fortune to see Bill four times since his move to Fort Lauderdale in October of 2020. Once the pandemic isolating concluded Bill made friends
quickly. He loved having access to three meals a day and had regular dining companions.
He lived at OASIS which had great outdoor ponds. After his lunch he would ride his red scooter out to the ponds, with a bit of lettuce for the ducks. He would get a bit on sun on his legs and count the iguana, which were prevalent and HUGE.
Bill sang in the choir there, and was a regular if tardy mass attendee.
He still liked to shop, so until his stroke in late May of 2023, we would always make a trip to Macy's together. If we were lucky we would have a meal with Bill's friend and his guardian the past 10 years, Jeff. We also would go have a drink at Rosie's the gay bar Bill liked, but didn't have a chance to visit often.
In response to "When was the last time you spent time with Bill?"
