William "Bill" Teixeira III, aged 57, passed away July 7, 2025, in New Haven, CT surrounded by his loving daughters. Born on November 20, 1967, Bill lived a life marked by dedication and service, evident in his long-standing role as a volunteer firefighter and an organ donor.
Bill was known for his strong, stubborn nature, yet he possessed a hear of gold, touching the lives of many through his acts of bravery and kindness. He operated his own business as a licensed independent contractor for over 30 years, demonstrating his expertise and commitment in his craft.
He graduated from Stonington High School and carried the lessons learned into all his endeavors. Beyond his professional life, Bill was a passionate outdoorsman. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, boating, and Sunday dinners with a few close friends. He was also an avid motorcycle rider, a nature enthusiast, and a devoted member of Groton Sportsman's Club, where he enjoyed archery and spending time with fellow enthusiasts.
Family was central to Bill's life. He is survived by his parents William Teixeira Jr. and Sharon Teixeira, daughters Lorraine Arasimowicz and Nicole Teixeira, three grandchildren (the light of his life); Alexis, Orion and Tessa. A sister, niece, great nephew and son-in-law.
A Celebration of life will be announced and held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and legacy. Bill's life was one of profound impact, marked by his love for family, his community, and the natural world. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
