William Stephen Millman, 78, of Gwinn, Michigan, passed away on March 17, 2024. He was born on March 8, 1946, in Marquette, Michigan.

William had a distinguished career, starting as a Chemistry professor at the University of Wisconsin from 1981 to 1990. He then served as a Program Director at the Department of Energy from 1990 to 1994. His passion for teaching led him back to academia as a Chemistry professor at Northern Michigan University in 1994-1995. William returned to the Department of Energy as a Program Director, where he dedicated his expertise until 2010.

Outside of his professional life, William found joy in woodworking and brewing. These hobbies allowed him to showcase his creativity and craftsmanship.

William Millman is survived by his loving children William N Millman, Thomas Millman, and Alison Kilpatrick. He will also be deeply missed by his grandchildren Stephen Kilpatrick, Arya Millman, and Archer Millman. William is now reunited with his beloved wife, Margaret Millman (Tompkins), who preceded him in death.

A private memorial service will be held over the summer to honor and celebrate William's life.
