William's obituary
We regret to announce the passing of William "Billy" Joiner, Jr., a loving husband, father, and community member, who left us on March 2, 2024. William, fondly known as Billy by his peers but who preferred being addressed as William, was born on November 21, 1958.
He is survived by his wife, Clara Gray-Joiner, and his daughters, Kena Gray, and Joi Joiner. His family was his pride and joy, and he constantly filled their lives with love and joy, making each moment a cherished memory.
William was a proud alumnus of Taylor High School, stationed on Beech Daly Road, Taylor, MI, from where he graduated in 1981. His love for learning and personal growth found a path for him in every walk of life, something he passed on to his children and all those who knew him.
His spiritual journey was centered around the Word of Faith Cathedral, where he was a regular attendee. His faith was inspiring and guided his actions which contributed to the peaceful aura he carried around him.
William had a passion for simplicity. His favorite food was salad, and his love for sports was shown in his support for local sports teams. An outdoorsy person, he found solace in his local church and always championed the cause of people in his community. He loved the color blue, a hue that perfectly mirrored the tranquility of his personality.
Describing William's personality, 'peaceful' resonated the most. His calming presence had a profound effect on those around him. His strongest belief was in faith, and he often shared that the best life lessons rooted from faith. William will be remembered for his legacy of peace, love, and happiness that he imparted to all who crossed his path in life.
Though the family mourns the loss of William, they are grateful for the years they shared with him and find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the values, memories, and life lessons he left behind.
