I first met Mr. Greene when I decided to join the Political Science Club at South Texas College in my first semester. Over the course of a year was a collection of memories that I cherished spending with people of the club, and his guidance as advisor made it all worth it. I spoke with him numerous times, even after my time with the club dwindled gradually. He was a great guy to speak to, and I send my condolences to his family.

Back in 1994, Bill ran for Florida State House district 102, and I was one of his volunteers. I made buttons for his campaign and managed to keep one of them all these years (I also have a couple of bumper stickers somewhere). Bill was a great friend and great human being. The world is a sadder place without him.

My deepest condolences! Bill was a great colleague and much loved by his students. His STC family mourns with you.
I was incredibly sad to hear of Bill's passing. What a Patriot he was for sure. Heaven gained an Angel for sure. Rest in Peace.

I LOVE BILL, and have always been inspired by his courage, passion, and upbeat, fun spirit!!! Life kind of slipped by us the last 37 years or so, save for the treasured call and visit he gave me three years ago. Some of my most precious and all time favorite memories are playing in a rock band with Bill, around 1981-83. Bill was the lead singer, and very gifted at it!!! What was terrifying and hilarious were several gigs we did at "redneck" bars, where Bill would talk to the crowd in a very convincing British accent!! It didn't take long for our red-faced panic to subside though, as Bill's voice, wit, and super personality won them over (WHEW!! What a challenge!)!! My utmost heart, prayers, and condolences to Bill's wife and family... RIP, my cherished forever friend.
My true condolences to the family and friends of Bill. What a rebel this guy was. What a loss to the liberty movement. #PresidentPaul
Bill was one of the good guys. The Liberty movement has lost one of its best friends. Smart, funny, kind, and supportive, he never had to prove his intelligence through a cutting remark. I learned much through and from Bill, and he will forever have my admiration for his courage as well as his good nature. Thanks, Bill, for everything. My heart goes out to your family at this time; you all have been and will remain in my thoughts.
I work for the state rep here in Weslaco and worked with Mr. Greene a lot. We disagreed on almost everything politically but all of us in the office considered him a friend. We'd visit his class every semester, host him and other students at the Capitol, and just enjoyed hanging out. I'm so sorry about this. He was an awesome guy.
So very sorry to learn of Bill's passing. He was a light, a role model and true warrior for Liberty. He is now experiencing the ultimate freedom as he communes with our Lord and Savior! He will be missed!

Dr. Greene was one of my favorite professors in college. He was huge part of mone and my future husbands life. This is complete shock. He will never be forgotten! He was certainly a memorable and inspiring professor. ♡
I had the great privilege to be Bill's pastor for the short time he lived in Ellijay, GA. We had wonderful conversations and forced each other to grow in our unique way. He was an absolute gem of a man and one of the few deep thinkers I have had the privilege to spend time with. A true treasure. And I will always smile when I see that single Ron Paul vote in 2016.
I was honored to call Bill a close personal friend when he lived in North Carolina. We fought battles together, and we enjoyed beautiful moments together.

I, and all of my friends and family were eagerly looking forward to his returning to NC so we could spend more time with our friend.

Anyone would be hard pressed to find a man half as kind, courageous, and brilliant as Bill Greene.

The world is a colder, darker place without his brilliance in it, and I mourn for his family, and for every soul his life touched.

Bill was a Spirit filled child of God, who truly lived out our high calling by example, in a way that every believer can aspire to. I know without a shadow of a doubt, that he is among that small elite cadre to hear those words, “Well done, My good and faithful servant”

I look forward to the day that we will meet again on the other side, to reminisce about our struggles and our good times.

The world was blessed for having Bill Greene in it, and we all miss him dearly, gone too soon.
I worked with Bill for years on sound money issues at the Tenth Amendment Center, but just a couple of months ago, we discovered our common love for obscure alternative Christian bands from the 80s and early 90s. I about jumped out of my chair when he quoted a One Bad Pig lyric on a post. Who even knows that band? Well, Bill did. And a bunch of others. I just wanted to share a lyric from a band we both liked a lot and seems somewhat appropriate.

Peace.

There's a crystal in the window
Throwing rainbows around
There's a girl by the mirror
And her feet won't touch the ground
'Cause she never saw the sky so bright
Isn't that like a cloud to come by night?
Nevermind the sky
There's a tear in her eye
A sad face is good for the heart
Go on cry, it can be a cruel world?
A sad face is good for the heart of a girl
A sad face
There's a woman in my kitchen
With a rainbow on her cheek
Well, isn't that a promise?
Still, I never felt so weak
There's a tiny spirit in a world above
Cradled so sweetly in our Father's love
So you don't have to cry
No, there's something in my eye
A sad face is good for the heart
Maybe just now, I don't understand
A sad face is good for the heart of a man
A sad face
A sad face is good for the heart
It's alright, you don't have to smile
A sad face is good for the heart of a child
For the heart of a child
For the heart of a child
For the heart of a child
A sad face
A sad face
A sad face
