Bill was a one of a kind. He leaves behind a legacy of love and integrity with those he interacted with. He was a loving husband, friend, mentor, and father and we are grateful for each and every day we got to see his smile, hear his silly jokes, and learn from his expansive knowledge he was always willing to share.
We reconnected after many years of living separate lives. We began dating and fell in love. He shared his love of the constitution and the principles of liberty with me. We were engaged in Signers Park in Philadelphia, PA and then married in Tennessee in July of 2016. We had numerous opportunities to travel, sightsee, and share time together exploring together.
In 2016 he made headlines when, as a member of the Electoral College from Texas, he cast his vote for his hero Ron Paul. He believed it was a huge honor and privilege to be a participant in our constitutional method of selecting our chief executive, and cherished the opportunity. Bill had always been a bit rebellious against the “establishment” wherever he was and was active in the Libertarian Party. His love for liberty and his involvement was evident throughout his life. Bill shared his love for our constitutional republic with his students at South Texas College, political friends, party members, colleagues, representatives, and adversaries. He was spiritually strong and compassionate, and had a clever sense of humor. Above all, he loved and cherished his family and friends. We will miss him more than words can express.

Bill, we love you and will always remember the joy, laughter, and learning you brought to our lives.
