William's obituary

Mr. William Lee “W.L” Graham, age 87, of Dublin, died Friday, January 10, 2020, in Serenity Place in Dublin, after an extended illness. He was a native of Scotland, Georgia and in 1937 moved to the Normantown Community where he was raised. He moved Orlando, Florida in 1955 and to Dodge County in 1973 and owned and operated Jay Bird Springs. He has lived in Dublin since 1973 and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Wheeler County. He was a lifelong farmer and was owner/operator of W.L. Trucking and was affectionately known as “Red Snapper” and “Grease”. He was preceded in death by two wives, Claudia Edge Graham and Frances Mercer Graham; parents, Willie Hugh Graham and Jennie Pate Mercer; and nine siblings, Elizabeth Graham Palmer, Willie Mae Graham King, Roderick Graham, Jo Lee Graham Morgan, Lois Frances Graham Harrell, Russell Mercer Graham, Jennett Graham Burnsed, Roy Hugh Graham and Frederick Franklin Graham.
 
Mr. Graham is survived by four children, Karen Barron and husband Ronnie, Mitchell Graham, Penny Guthrie, all of Dublin, and Donna Bowen and husband Lee of Danville; one brother, Jolly Graham and wife Marlyn of the New Branch Community; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Durden of Dexter, Travis Graham and wife Elaine of Kathleen, Justin Durden and wife Nancy, Jonathan Guthrie and wife Alicia, Tiffany Graham, Alston Proctor, all of Dublin, Codi Proctor, of Danville, Robbie Barron of the Kibbee Community, April Snellgrove of Milledgeville, Briana Bowen, and Skylar Bowen and fiancé Samantha, all of Cochran; eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews. 
The funeral service will be held Monday, January 13th, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend Gaynor Ridgdill officiating. Burial will follow in the Pinecrest Cemetery. 
 The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
 
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Serenity Hospice, 1022 Hillcrest Parkway, Suite 200, Dublin, GA 31021.
