Bill and I used to play upstairs at Mom and Pops house. Going in the basement and getting a bottle of soda from a wooden case. All of us kids sitting on the steps at Christmas and Uncle Bill would give as each a new 2 dollar bill. Sitting in the living room listening to the adults talk. And playing beanbag golf around the yard. Those were the days. Etched in my memories forever.

I have known, Kathy and thus Bill for about 34 yrs while Kathy and I worked at SBS. I always viewed the both of them as a couple of old hippies (not in a bad way, but in the very best of ways). They were gentle, unassuming, always thinking positive. Bill faced his illness with extreme courage while people like me could not face it or deal with it. For that I apologize. He is lucky to have a devoted family around him to comfort and support him.
I will always wish nothing but love and for Kathy and family.

Heart and humor are qualities he mastered and this is how I’ll always remember Mr. Bohlmann. When you’re 8 years old you sort of get adopted by your best friend’s family and that’s when I first met Bill. So many family dinners and gatherings that Bill, Kathy, Joey, Sara, and Kristine always welcomed me to, adding an extra spot to an already full table. It wasn’t long after Bill got home from work that he would look in on Joey playing music, check in with his Sara, have a round of shoulder-bouncing chuckles with Kristine and share affection with Kathy. He was so fond of his family, and they him. Whatever the grownup struggles of the day his heart and humor would shine through. In all of these moments Bill and Kathy gave that genuine sense of goodness and friendship that extended out and bridged many of our families together. “The salt of the earth” my parents, Fred & Judy, have always said when referring to the Bohlmanns. Bill inspires an inner gratitude and a goodness that we can all connect to. Sending light and prayers.

Bill was a very special person... the kindest, most gentle and funniest we've ever known. He was a dear friend to us and our daughters. We have so many memories with Bill, Kathy and his whole family that we will always remember... music, dancing, restaurants, bonfires, pontoon boat rides, fishing. We are grateful for having had him in our lives. Bill will be greatly missed but always in our hearts. Rest in peace, Bill Bohlmann.
With love and condolences, Fred & Judy Chu

One of my first memories of moving to Wisconsin was meeting your family. From the moment we met ... your home was open to us. Mr. Bohlmann always greeted us with a smile and great tunes. Most of my memories are of hearing our parents laughing with each other while us kids ran around the house playing games. Bill had a way of making you feel so comfortable with simply his smile. His heart was so big and I always felt so welcome wherever he was. I saw the love and pride he had for each one of his kids and always loved the connections you had with him. He truly was one of a kind. When I think of Bill, I think of how kind he was, how warm I felt whenever I was around him and the amazing family he and Kathy built. That loving feeling will stay with me forever. I feel so honored to have known him. So honored that our families have stayed so close over the years. I miss him dearly. Love you all so very much.
Love Always
Pamela Chu

When our girls would go up to Bohlman’s and I would need to pick them up, it was never. 5 minutes. Bill was so easy to talk to and then you get Kathy and myself, it was fun talk with Bill. I would always see him cutting the grass when I went somewhere. He always made it a point to come talk to me at the bomb fires. Just such a wonderful man. When he would come home from work in summer, on the Harley, he always waved and beeped if I was in the yard. I will never forget him because I drive past the house all the time and think if him. His gentle, kind spirit will be missed❤️
