Dr. Wilson gifted these figurines of semblance of her and Dr. J to me when she returned from Saudi Arabia.
My beloved Mom asked us to spread her ashes during our travels. She loved Antigua and often dreamed of traveling here as a family. I’m grateful for the prayers and memories my father and I shared with her spirit today. Thank you, Antigua for adding sunshine and sacred light to the anniversary of Mom’s passing. Christmas has forever changed for us, but the beauty of her memory is everlasting.
We love you, Mom. We will always say your name [Dr. Willa Alfreda Campbell-Wilson]. ♾ ❤️🙏🏾 Video: https://www.instagram.com/p/B…

Bernard Bernard Crandol, Freda Wilson, Tommy Harris, Johnny Wilson Remembering . . .Freda departs this life a friend, a wife, a cherished mother and a beloved patient. She has been known throughout her life to be a highly intelligent, warm, down-to-earth and a very giving person. Our relationship covers greater than 30 years, and comes with lots of laughter and it is this I choose to remember. I will also continue to emulate her drive for excellence while I regret myabsences at her home-going. My heart is not heavy because I'm remembering, remembering with a smile, you, Freda, your mother, your husband, your daughter, all the great years and time we've had together. We will continue to live long after resting in the great hall, long after the ancesters have accepted you home.Love you Freda Mae!!!

Dear Johnny & Jamia:
Certainly, many times words are incapable of expressing emotions. This is such a time. I trust that your faith and beliefs will usher you through these challenging moments. As I search for words, I realize that no matter what I write, it would pale in comparison to Frnda' s life and what she meant to all of us. Thank you for sharing her with us.
I want to dwell on all that she meant to us and all that she gave to those in her sphere. I am a beneficiary of her grace, love and kindness. She planted seeds in all of us that have sprouted and will continue to live if we hold her memory dear and advance her hopes and dreams. She will continue to work through us if we follow her script. That is my hope for all who knew her well.
I wish I had answers to all of the philosophical and religious questions that plague humankind. admit I am still in search and continue to wonder. Most of us find comfort in our faith. Quality is universal and a quality life speaks for itself. We don't need accolades. Freda's life has spoken for itself. It is certainly recognized by her family and all. of us within her realm. I choose to
think it is also recognized by God.

Thank you for all owing me and Linda into your extended family . I cherish this relationship and look forward to supporting your family during these challenging times.
Phil
I cried tears of joy when Francis Marion University announced their new scholarship honoring Mom's work. She was the founder of their new Speech-Language Pathology program. Her legacy lives on.

Sending deep gratitude to The Harnisch Foundation for lifting up my beloved mother Willa Alfreda Campbell-Wilson's work and legacy. Their support of the The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association in her memory helps make effective communication accessible and achievable for all people.

I miss her so much but I find comfort in the fact that her spirit lives on!

WOW! Freda was my friend at SC State University and a woman who didn't look down on the human race; but reached way down to pick them up. She was a voice for the voiceless, and touched many lives throughout the USA and around the World. To God be the glory for the wonderful things He has done in and through my dear Sister. Patricia Gibson-Haigler, SCSU
I was shocked and speechless to learn of Dr. Freda’s passing. She was a dear mentor, friend and sister. Dr. Freda was instrumental in establishing the field of Speech/Language Pathology in Saudi Arabia. I was fortunate to be one of her first students when she first came to Riyadh in the 1980s. I would not have pursued my master’s degree in the US without the support and encouragement of Dr. Freda and Dr. Johnny. I will always remember and cherish her leadership, her sense of humor, and her unconditional love and empathy for everyone she encountered.
My condolences to Dr. Johnny and to Jamia. Please know she always spoke of you with pride and love. May she rest in peace.
My memories of Dr. Freda Wilson began as an undergrad at SCSC (SLP). It was a joy being her student. She helped me navigate my career. She assisted my entrance into graduate school. Her message to me was to “keep the cycle going.” She told me that once I graduated, it was my duty to continuously help others to earn their degrees. I’ll never forget her kindness and how much fun it was being around her. Peace and blessings to Dr. Johnny Wilson, Jamia, and the entire family. Kim E. Gardner
I am so saddened at the loss of Freda. My deepest sympathy to Johnny and Jamia. I will dearly miss her humor, her spark, her, professionalism, and her deep passion for SLP. Even with her illness she was the consummate professional. Freda has left a very fitting and lasting legacy here at Francis Marion University with the masters in SLP program that she developed and implemented.
We are all so much better
for having known Freda.

Charlena and Harry Seymour

Charlena and I wish to express our deepest condolences to the Wilson family for their loss. We have such fond memories of Freda and our family interactions. She was a wonderful, kind and caring person whose presence was always a source of joy. Her heart was as huge as her passion for serving needs of others, particularly those with communication disorders; and few can compare with her commitment to social justice for the disenfranchised. Freda’s mark on this earth is indelible and her memory will last in our minds and hearts forever.

As initially stunned, distraught and sadden on Christmas day about the loss of our beloved sister and fellow professional colleague Freda, we can only imagine that symbolically, when Christ CAME DOWN from Heaven that early morning in 2018, He paused for a moment in the middle of the air before hitting ground earth, to stop and talk with Freda as she was GOING UP. He said to Freda, “Well done, my good and faithful servant--Go on home now!” They slapped high fives and said to each other ‘GOTCHA’ and then continued their journey of ascension and dissension.

And as for the GOTCHA exchange, well…

Freda Said "GOTCHA in my HEART Dear Lord and Savior. My tent had holes, rips and tears from life's challenges and I just had to move on! But my Spirit and Soul are intact, so I’m still climbing' and still going’ strong!"

Jesus said "GOTCHA Freda--You're free now and I have prepared a special place for you among the stars! You represented my Kingdom well and had an awesome journey throughout your earthly life. You traveled around the world—an unafraid and unencumbered globetrotter! I am proud of all of your many accomplishments as woman, working professional, wife and mother of not only Jamia, who I personally gave to you and Johnny, but countless students-across this nation and other parts of the world, who also call you ‘mother’. You have positively impacted nations, my daughter. Now it’s time for a STAYcation at a special place reserved in Paradise just for YOU!

AND they both said GOTCHA to we who remain-- BECAUSE, says Christ,

'Freda left the planet with style as we once again celebrate the coming of Me as a child, Emmanuel—God with us! But for you my beloveds, Christmas Day 2018 will also be remembered as a day to celebrate Freda's freed spirit! For she has joined that great cloud of witnesses—family members she knew while on earth who have gone on before her, and the lineage of ancestors she knew not by name but whose blood passionately roared in her heart, arteries and veins! And if God is kind and merciful, we too shall see our beloved sister, Willa Alfreda Campbell-Wilson, again! Selah Carolyn and Robert Mayo
