Wayne Carroll Church III, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2026, in Peoria, Arizona. He was 78 years old.

Born on New Year's Eve, 1947, Wayne lived a life defined by service — to his country, his family, his faith, and his community. He served six years in the United States Marine Corps, carrying the discipline and dedication of that service with him for the rest of his life. He went on to build a distinguished 20-year career as a Security Director in healthcare — work that reflected his lifelong instinct to protect the people around him.

Wayne was a man of faith who gave generously of his time and himself to his church community over many years. Those who knew him knew that his family and friends were his greatest treasure, and he showed it not with grand gestures but with steady, dependable love.

He is survived by his wife of many years, Carolyn Church; his sons Mark Church and Kevin Church; his sister Victoria Mitchell; his brother Chandler Church; and his sister Jackie Swinford. He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Church Jr., and his mother, Barbara Church.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Covenant of Grace Church, 906 W. Peoria Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85029. All who loved Wayne are welcome.
