After we met at school, the fall of 1981, there was an instant connection between Warren and I, as well as the rest of the group. We instantly started sharing our views and opinions, skipping class to sit at the Red Deer Lodge and have coffee and smoke cigarettes. It was there that we laid down the foundation of what was important to us, what we wanted to do in life, how we felt as teenagers in the times presented to us, our favourite rock bands, and where we seen our futures. Sometimes it was just the two of us, sometimes we had to pull tables together to fit everyone in on the conversation. As we got older, over the course of 40 plus years, we never stopped sharing and spending time together on various adventures. Amongst the trials of life, education, work, relationships, family, we managed to fit in time together on a regular basis. This involved hundreds of miles of rivers, thousands of miles of roads on a motorcycle, endless hours just hanging out and still having the same conversations that we first had when we first sat down and had a coffee, passing out smokes to those that did't have any, genuinely enjoying each others company and listening. He was my best friend and a great friend to many others.
He was adventurous, driven, smart, kind and devoted to those around him.
If you ever want to sit down and share the moments we were able to have Warren with us, fell free to contact me.
