I will always remember Mr. Saunders as the tall, kind, always smiling grandpa that my best friend Kelly was so lucky to have in her daily life. During our elementary school years, Mr. Saunders would frequently pick Kelly up from school. Anytime I ran into him, he would greet me with the warmth and tenderness as if I was one of his granddaughters. I could count on a great big smile and hug from him, something that always stayed the same anytime I saw him throughout his life. He was always genuinely happy to see me, and would ask with interest about my day. I remember knowing, even as a young girl, how blessed my friend Kelly and her sisters were to get to see their Grandpa and Grandma so often, and have them be a part of their lives. I also knew that it was so special that I got to share some of that love, just because I was Kelly's friend. I will also never forget a very special lunch I enjoyed with Mr. and Mrs. Saunders and Kelly at the Bay Oaks Country Club. I think it lasted at least two or three hours, and I remember soaking up the stories Mr. Saunders had, as well as admiring the deep bond that Mr. and Mrs. Saunders clearly shared. I am so grateful to Kelly for sharing her beloved grandpa with me, and I wish him eternal peace.

These pictures are wonderful!! Your dad was very special! Loved the Shell Oil pic - reminded me of my dad, of course :) A special thank you to our dads for bringing us together.

You've been such a great friend all these year and I am so sorry for your loss. Remembering both your mom and dad with love,
Cindy

Warren was such a wonderful man. He was a light to so many. I was fortunate to have him as a bonus grandfather. Words can't express how much he will be missed by me and everyone that knew him.
