Vincent Lamar Edwards was born October 22, 1979, in Wichita Kansas, to Curtis and Vinita Edwards Jr. One of four children, Vincent attended public schools in Wichita and was the valedictorian for his graduating class at Wichita West High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism — broadcast news/news information and his master’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, both from the University of Kansas. (Go, Jayhawks!)
