This is just the saddest news. Sending lots of love to all of  Veronica's family and friends from me here in Portsmouth, England.  I met Veronica through my cousin Jane Dunbar and Lisa Murley. We had some very good nights out in Southsea many many years ago and Veronica was always so upbeat and happy.  RIP 💔 xx

I am so sorry to hear this. She was an amazing person. She taught me so much about life and work. I am so proud of her accomplishments and saddened to hear this news.  Sending prayers and love to her husband, children and grandchildren. Peace be with you and your family.

I first met Veronica over 30 years ago whilst we were working for Portsmouth Day Services. We became close friends and during that time we loved, cried and laughed together.   We shared tough times and good times. A lot of laughter and a lot of tears as we navigated our way through life. She supported me through many a hard time both personally and professionally. Social Work is about never giving up on people and Veronica never did.  Family was always paramount to Veronica....that was her focus, yet she still had determination to give herself to others in her work. I'm sorry I did not have the chance to say goodbye. My thoughts are with the whole of her family at this sad time. To her family, I say this...she loved you so much and fought like a warrior for you all to have a good life and be happy.  Take strength from her.... Thank you Veronica for being you and giving so much in your life. Sending my condolences to the whole family and her friends in Portsmouth and America. I know the Social Work community in Portsmouth are dimming a light tonight. Rest easy.....Xxx

My condolences to Veronica's family.  I first met Veronica when I was in undergrad and she was in grad school at the same internship placement in Galveston. As a first generation student, I was so lost and nervous but she took me under her wing and taught and guided me so much from them on. She was a great mentor, always making time for me when I needed her. She made such a huge impact in my life and career, later providing clinical supervision and continuing to teach and guide me in my career. I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now if it wasn't for her. She believed in me before I truly did. I'll forever think of her.
