Vernie McLean (Williams) was born on January 25, 1939 in Rock Springs, Jamaica to Enid L. Campbell and Lywin A. McLean. She was the first of her siblings to immigrate from Kingston, Jamacia to the United States in 1968. She married Richard Williams and had two daughters.
