I was one of the fortunate ones that had the pleasure of not only meeting Ty, but working with Ty on numerous beer recipes. One specific one was our Strawberry Orange Mimosa Blonde Ale.

We worked for over two years to find a way to stablize the Orange Juice and went through many batches before we finally found the perfect brewing process. Tit was very complicated, especially since we had no pasteurization machine to work with, but through trial and error, lots of hard work and research and with the help of the University of Florida we succeeded! Today, it is our number one seller.

Ty told me it was the most difficult formula he has ever worked on but not once did he quit. He was a perfectionist, yet so easy to talk to and work with. When I heard about the news of his passing last Thursday, I was abosutley shocked and deeply saddened. I had just left him a message that morning and found it strange that by eveing he hadn't responded as he was always great about getting back to me. By Friday morning I had learned why. Life is short and who knows what tomorrow will bring. For all of you in the St. Pete area please stop by 3 Daughters Brewing tonight to celebrate Ty's life. I know he'll be there in spirit and will enjoy his life being remembered by the great beers he created!

Ty, thanks for all your help, patience and hard work. You will be greatly missed but often remembered as your beer will continue to live on and continue to put a smile on those that have the privilege of drinking it. Cheers to you! May you rest in peace.
