Tyler was my coach and mentor between 2020 and 2021. Even though we never met in person we spoke almost daily and I grew to consider him more than a coach, he was a friend. We caught up a year ago and chatted for over an hour, just talking about life. He was a very special person. It seems I am not alone in this sentiment. Every day on this earth is a blessing and an opportunity to help build each other up and support those who are struggling. I pray none of us take our time for granted. Love you, brother!

A beautiful soul; I am so sorry to hear of Ty's passing; a tremendous loss to all who were lucky enough to cross paths with, know, befriend, or love him. It has been many years since I last spent time with him and his large group of cherished friends in his hometown, and yet, he was able to leave a life-lasting impact on me, that I will never forget. He was truly a light in this world, and the memories of his character will forever be held onto by all. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all those affected by his loss.

My moments with Ty were few and some of them were imperfect, and STILL, my lasting memory of him will be the integrity of his character.
For example, a couple of summers ago, Tyler borrowed a very unique handmade Mexican poncho from me for a festival. He was unable to give it back to me before leaving the country even though we had spoken about the fact that I'd need it. So I was bratty about it to him, and he knew I was pissed.
Six months later, out of the blue and unprompted, I received a Venmo payment from him for the cost of the poncho. He knew he wouldn't be in my neck of the woods any time soon, and he did what he could to make it right. Meanwhile, I was just planning on holding the grudge ;) so this was far beyond what I would have ever expected. That's the kind of guy he was.
There is no human who does no wrong; it is what they do afterward that shows their true character. That's how you know a good egg, isn't it? I will treasure the deep conversations and dance floor sessions that we did get to share while he was here. I hope he is at peace and that he can feel the love radiating up from earth.
