Born Tracye DeLane Newton on August 29, 1957, in Florida, Tracye grew up as a Navy brat, moving between bases in Pensacola and Jacksonville, Florida, and Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, alongside her brothers, Christopher and Daniel.
