My heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to Tod, his family and especially Delaney who I can still picture proudly sharing her dad and his skills as an official with our class. May the peace that only God provide fill your hearts.

For the Family and Friends-
Try to remember the little things, the shared smiles, hugs, and laughter. The pain might seem unbearable now, but in time, it is these memories that will win through, and you will find happiness again.
Our lives are finite, the moments that we spend together precious. We grow from mourning, to accepting, to remembering. Remembering the weddings, family events, and get together. Little events, comments and jokes that make us smile. These rememberences are burned into our thoughts and our souls. Todd was a best friend, to my brother, a loving, and caring father, and a generous person. He will never be forgotten, because he has become part of us. We will carry his memory with us forward until we meet again. He has made us better individuals than we would have been without him. We all wish we could have more time with him. We should remember he is still here with us, in everything we do, along side us, looking at us and telling us to move forward, and remembering the special moments of life. Todd has left a piece of himself with all of us.
Tod was a great mentor to me in officiating and even more important Tod was an outstanding person!!! My heart was crushed when I heard the news!!! May his memory be a source of blessing and inspiration to all who knew him!!!
I'm so very sad to hear this. Tod was a great guy. I will always remember being kids together and growing up in our wonderful neighborhood. Heartfelt prayers going out to his family.
I'd like to extend my heart felt thoughts and prayers of comfort to the entire Reese family. I can say without hesitation that Todd was one of the nicest guys I knew. And, needless to say, a great football official. My his soul Rest In Peace. Sincerely, Gene Cunningham
Hello Holly. I work for ESPN and helped put together the element that aired during the New Orleans Bowl. I wanted to make sure you had a broadcast quality link of the segment we aired. See below

So sad to hear about Tod’s passing, he was a great guy, only knew him thru football officiating, worked several games with him. True professional both on and off the field , God Bless to him and his Family. Rest in piece my friend.
Tod was a good guy. As simple as that may sound, it can't be said about everyone. he was always helpful and in a business (football officiating) where everyone isn't always helpful. he was willing to help, teach, and advance others without asking or expecting anything in return. if he carried himself that way with officials , i can only imagine how much he gave as a father and a husband. tod your legacy will continue. be blessed.
Tod was a fellow employee at BLS who treated all that knew him fairly and
never had a bad thing to say. He will be missed and we need more people like him in this world. I feel blessed to have known him.
RIP Tod! Tod was the guy you were proud to call your friend. He was a great father often bringing his daughter to the games. He never had a bad word to say about anything in life much less others that crossed his path in life. He advocated and as importantly mentored new officials. He earned the respect of veteran officials throughout the country. And finally he showed in his time of pain and despair how to stay positive and love others until the end. I often would check in with Tod during the time he first learned of his illness until just 2 weeks prior to his passing. Not once did he express regret of being being the victim even though in fact he was the victim of this terrible disease. It is my belief that most people who face a disease that will likely end their life must contemplate the one question we all have which is “did I make a difference in other’s lives? Did I matter? “ Well, the outpouring of love and support from hundreds of people across the country that reached out to him after his diagnosis gave him that answer. Yes, my dear friend, you mattered! Indeed, Tod had a profound impact on countless others and it is in this way Tod Reese’s spirit will live on forever. Until we meet again my friend. Much love and peace.
