Dr. Elston cared for my cats since 2015 and showed the deepest love and compassion for them and our family. He was such a blessing and will be missed on this earth. Our prayers are with his family.

I’ve known Tom and Debbie over 50 years...I remember so well when they worked long long hours starting up the practice. The two of them worked very hard to make the practice succeed. I’m grateful I was with Tom the last eight weeks of his life, reminiscing, and laughing and Tom being Tom with his silly remarks. Debbie knowing Tom the way she did, was there taking care of him through his last days. No one was more dedicated then she. Tom is sorely missed by every life he touched.

Tom was a true colleague. He was generous with his time and knowledge. When I was opening my practice in the early 1980's, he willingly allowed members of a local city council to visit because a cat only practice was still a novelty.
He was a leader with our VMG group for many years. We certainly missed him over the past several years. There were many reasons why his nickname was "Mufasa.
I am unable to attend in person; I have a conflict on the 14th but if I can rearrange things I will to attend virtually.

My deepest condolences to Dr. Elston’s family. He was one who truly cared for his feline patients and was a true cat whisperer, a blessing from the Lord. He made an impact in this community and I will always cherish his lovingkindness to my cats.

Dr. Elston was our family vet for many years! My mom Sandy Krogh started with his office first and her cats Guiness, Bailey and Lucy and then I brought Vinny and more recently my two tuxedos Nelson and Savannah. He was the kindest person, always took time to listen to you and ask how your and your cat were doing and offered support during the tough times in life. He was a source of comfort during our mom’s journey with dementia. He also said some humorous things like my cats had “ choice swear words” during their vet visits as they were “caution” kitties. He will be greatly missed! He leaves a legacy of compassion, stillness and patience and staying in the present moment. He reminds me to stay hopeful too that good things will come along too. Thanks Dr. E for all your love and care for our family. Sending comfort and care to your family as they walk this time of grief

Dr. Elston was an excellent veterinarian. He took great care of my cats over a number of years when I lived in Orange County, and in particular, his plan of treatment for my very ill cat George Jr. was remarkable and ingenious. My cats and I were lucky to have him as our vet! I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and clients.

I was very saddened to hear of Dr. Elston’s passing. He really was the best vet, and like others have said, so kind and caring to his feline patients and their families. We brought our cats to him for over 20 years. My sincere condolences to his family, may he rest in peace.

My name is Valerie and my cat whom Dr. Elston took care of for 12 years is Jonesy. We send our sympathy and prayers to Dr. Elston’s family. He was a gentleman and a gentle soul. He was so good with Jonesy despite Jonesy hissing and growling during vet visits. We were fortunate to be patients of Dr. Elston from the time Jonesy was a kitten until the practice closed.

Sweet Dr. Elston, Your loss is enormous. I've had cats my entire life (now 71 years) and no other Cat Doctor came close to you. You treated every single cat that was lucky enough to have you, as if that cat was the most wonderful, most important cat in the world. One of our cats, a Maine Coon named Zillie, developed diabetes. We were having a terrible time getting his dosage regulated, and you kept Zillie at your office for three weeks, with no charge, to watch and observe him, and get his dosage correct. And, you told us, many times, if any of our cats got sick when your office was closed, to call your exchange, and you would meet us at your office. Your devotion, your kindness, your love for cats is your legacy. You will be forever remembered by all whose lives you touched.
You are truly, second to none.

I took 3 generations of my cats to Dr. Elston, and will say hands down he was the best vet we ever saw. He was kind, compassionate, and extremely good with his patients (as well as the owners!) I’m very sad that he is no longer with us and will greatly miss him. May he rest in peace and know how much he was loved.
