Terry's obituary

Mr. Terry L. “Lucy” Galbreath, age 64, of the Sharpespur Community in Montgomery County, died Monday, April 3, 2023, at Augusta University Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, and was a 1976 graduate of Montgomery County High School. He worked with Wayne Douberly Farms for many years, Brent Williams Farm, and retired from Akins and Sons. He was a member of New Corinth Baptist Church, and served on the Galbreath Cemetery Committee. He enjoyed fishing, “wrestling”, riding buggies, and spending time with family and friends. Preceding him in death was his father, S.L. Galbreath; and a brother, Duane Galbreath.

His family includes two children, Luci Galbreath of Sharpespur, and Brent Galbreath and wife Megan of Ailey; his mother, Dot Galbreath of Sharpespur; seven grandchildren, Micah, Trey, Kai, Patrick, Jensen, Lily, and Addy; two sisters, Cheryl Galbreath Foss, and Kim Galbreath Corley and husband Jim, all of Sharpespur; one brother, Dennis Thornton of Vidalia; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; special daughter, Desiree Galbreath, and nephew, Dustin Corley.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.

The funeral service will be Thursday, April 6th, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Pastor Reece Mincey officiating. Burial will follow in the Galbreath Cemetery.
