I heard the sad news this morning and am so very sorry, Mignon, Joe, and Reid. Tanner was a joy to be around, and I so enjoyed getting to know him and your family in the time he and Charlotte were at Friends together. My heart is breaking for all of you.

Mignon, Joe and Reid,

Our hearts are crushed to hear about Tanner; he lit up any space he occupied; heart first.

We will cherish the times he and Connor spent together and will forever hold his spirit close to our hearts.

Sending so much love to you all,

Kim, Bryon, Connor and Gabrielle Scott

Tanner was a wonderful student of mine at the U.  Intelligent, disciplined, and kind-hearted. He was also a much-loved coach of my 8-yr-old son at Woodward. The world has lost an amazing human who will be missed by so many.

I didn't know Tanner for long, as I met him this semester because we share some of the same marketing classes. We've been in a group together since the first day of school for our research project, and I can confidently say that he was one of the kindest, warm-hearted, humble, and respectable individuals I've ever met. In both classes we shared, he never once skipped a lecture, no matter the circumstances, and most importantly, always had a big smile on his face. We would constantly talk about the upcoming ski season and how excited he was to return to the mountain after his injury. Tanner was one of those guys who always had a positive outlook on life, and from now on, I will try to do the same in his honor.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire family!

I haven't seen Tanner in a long time, but we grew up in the same neighborhood and would often get together for family gatherings. Every memory I have of him, he was always smiling, always laughing. It was hard to be in a bad mood when you were in the same room as Tanner. He brought so much joy into his and others' daily lives. Sending you love Mignon, Joe and Reid.
First - I am the mom of one of his middle school friends, so my encounters with Tanner were somewhat limited and mediated by my son. Yet- there was something soothing about his presence. A welcoming vibe. A smile. A harmony of sorts. He always irradiated intelligence and kindness. He was effortlessly conversational. Showing genuine curiosity.
Simply: A joy.
One thought around this tragedy is NOT to be less adventurous, but to go spend ample time with the people one loves and values.
I was [ how you felt ] when I heard the news of Tanner's passing. Migon I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Please know your BUENO familia is her for you. Please let us know how we can help. Sending hugs and strength to you and your family.
I just heard about the news. So sorry for your loss of amazing Tanner. We are all heart broken what happened. We are all thinking of you and your family, love christina, Jay, Claudia and Bettina

Tanner was pure light. The smile that filled the room before his second foot stepped in. He was the unofficial mayor of so many experiences. He is so loved. Our hearts are crushed for you all. Wherever Tanner is, I feel sure he is lighting up hearts and the world around him.  We love you Mignon & Joe & R.  We are all right here. xx, taylor, brian and boys

Tanner moved in next door when he was 2. He and Avery are weeks apart in age and they became fast friends. One day when they were 3 or 4 years old, I was feeding them snack and I heard Avery say, ‘Tanner, I really love being your friend’.  To this Tanner replied, ‘I know’. ❤️

I’m so grateful he knew he was so deeply loved. We consider ourselves so fortunate to know and to love Tanner. He made it so easy to love him - his kindness and warmth made him the gentlest of men. Sending all the white and gold light to surround and embrace your mom, dad and big bro.  We love you, Tanner. Now and always.

Our hearts are broken. Averi and I send our deepest sympathy to Mignon, Joe, Reid, and Tanner's friends and family. He lived and loved life fully, and this world was better with him in it.
I didn’t know Tanner almost at all but I remember running into him skiing early season. We had a really nice conversation and I remember being really impressed by his confidence, authenticity, and kindness. Sending love to his family and friends.

Joe, Mignon and Reid and family

Clyde and I are so saddened and we just want you to know we are thinking of you. There are no words to express this heartache. We love you...we are holding you close.

Beyond grateful that I could call Tanner a close friend of mine. He knew exactly what made him happy and did everything in his power to pursue it. I remember we were driving home together after a camping trip in MOAB and he was telling me his plan for recovering from his torn ACL. I told him that if anyone will make a flawless recovery, its him, since he is one of the most dedicated people I know and I look up to him for his dedication. His eyes got all teary and said, "Thank you man, I appreciate that." I hope to one day have that level of love and dedication.
I am thinking of you, Mignon, and your family and sending you my love and lovingkindness. Tanner was an incredible young man with so many talents and such an adventurer, I know you must feel a hole in your heart.
