With most profound sorrow, we are sharing this incomprehensible news…
We lost Tanner, Thursday afternoon, November 13. He died in a tragic accident on Mt. Superior in Little Cottonwood Canyon just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah.
With such a sudden event we are still trying to absorb the shock. The situation is evolving on a day by day basis. Please keep us & our extended families in your hearts as we struggle to understand this devastating loss.
… and please celebrate Tanner’s dazzling smile & bright, shining spirit with a visit somewhere in your great outdoors today. That is his Heaven on Earth and he lived there every day.
Hug your family and feel the light and love that surrounds you all. Please share this with whomever you feel needs to know.
Please consider making a donation to #SkiforT, a newly established scholarship fund created to honor Tanner Baran—a compassionate development coach who valued the pursuit of passions and believed all athletes deserved access. The fund expands opportunities within the Woodward Skiing Development Team—ensuring that young athletes of all backgrounds can chase their love for skiing without financial barriers. Tanner was also a double major Business School and German student at the University of Utah.
All donations are welcome and deeply appreciated! If you are considering a larger gift to #SkiforT, and would like to receive a tax deduction, we are in the process of establishing a 501c3. Please contact Mignon directly with any questions.
