TAMMY TAYLOR LOONEY

Tammy Taylor Looney, 44, of Green Cove Springs passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at Baptist South Medical Center in Jacksonville following a brief illness.

Tammy was born in Arcadia and had been a resident of Green Cove Springs for the past 26 years, coming from St. Augustine where she graduated from Nease High School in 1995. She had worked as a teacher with the St. Johns County School System for the past 15 years as a PreK teacher at Timberland Creek Elementary School in St. Augustine. Previously she had worked at Hickory Grove Early Learning Center in Green Cove Springs. She was very outdoorsy and enjoyed planting plants, swimming with her youngest daughter and grandson, horses, going to the beach, and having cookouts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tommy and Sharon Taylor; and a son, Danny Thomas Looney.

Surviving are two daughters and son-in-law, Karlie Looney of Green Cove Springs and Kristen Leann and Tyler Parker of Green Cove Springs; a brother, Mark Taylor of Wyoming; the father of her daughters, Danny Looney of Green Cove Springs and a grandson, Karsen Looney.
