Talton's obituary

Talton Hall Jr, was born on November 14th, 1958 in the city of Flint. The son of Talton Hall Sr and Carrie (Anthony) Hall. Talton Jr. graduated in 1976 from Beecher High School in Flint, Michigan. He obtained his Bachelor's in Psychology and Sociology in 1980 and received his Master's in Guidance and Counseling in 1981 from Eastern Michigan University. On March 31, 1979, he became a brother of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. with the Epsilon Eta Chapter at EMU. He was passionate about financial literacy and was able to retire at the age of 55. He was a basketball fan and avid bowler who loved to travel for bowling leagues. Talton resided in Detroit, Michigan. Being a college counselor at Washtenaw Community College, Highland Park Community College, and Henry Ford Community College were the most rewarding years of his career. He continued that passion with the Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) as a crisis counselor.

Ron Mayfield (Ypsilanti, MI), Jimmie Britt (Virginia Beach, VA), the brothers of the Episoln Eta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, and the Alumni Chapters of Ann Arbor, Flint, and Detroit. To all the work, college, bowling, and Flint, Michigan friends and family, thank you for being a part of Talton's journey.

The family would like to express special thanks to:

Mrs. Valarie Knox of Nuturing Hands Home Care Services, who managed 24/7 care for Talton Hall Jr after his first stroke. Ron Mayfield, who was a friend and fraternity brother in the truest form. Jimmie Britt flew in from Virginia to visit Talton in the hospital and has been his best friend since they met on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. Maurice Flaniken (cousin) visited Talton in the hospital and prayed with him.
